Espresso Martini Tower
Coffee and cocktails -what a combination! Get ready to shake up your wedding celebration with this equally entertaining and delicious trend. These towers are the ultimate blend of sophistication and fun, offering a delicious kick of espresso, vodka and coffee liqueur in every sip.
Henry Clive Bar is based on the South Coast in Berry, offering a dapper looking caravan that loves to get the party started. The team can create Espresso Martini Towers, starting from four tiers or more to serve your guests in style. It also makes for stunning photographs.
Gelato Bike or Van
What’s better than gelatoon a wedding day? Not much we think. Matt from The Gelato Bike agrees, making a business out of an idea for a sweet treat served at weddings. “We designed and had our bikes custom built to be the perfect gelato carts for weddings. Our gelato is made locally by The Dairy Bar in Berry, who use local and fresh ingredients and always deliver the highest quality gelato”, says Matt.
This option is popular as a dessert replacement at a reception or even post-ceremony to refuel hungry guests. And the most popular flavours? “We find the go-to flavours at the moment are Belgian Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Rocky Road and either a Mango or Strawberry Sorbet”, says Matt. Sounds too hard to choose just one!
Audio Guest Book
Ditch the pen and paper and go for something a little different. Audio guest books are having their moment -an interactive twist that lets your guests leave heartfelt messages and hilarious stories – all recorded for you to cherish forever.
Australian vendor Off the Hook offers a range of retro phones to select from, including signage. Once set up at your reception, guests can pick up the phone, hear your personalised greeting and record a voice note for you to listen to after the celebrations. Once you send the phone back to Off the Hook, the team sends you a link to your online voice message gallery -ready for you to download, listen and put on repeat for many years. They also have an option to customise a vinyl or USB box.
Cake Twist
We’ve all seen the usual three-tiered cakes at weddings. How about something out of the box (literally) to make you swoon? Chloe from Willow George Cake Co has been making her gorgeous creations for several years and is the Queen of wedding cakes. We asked her what is trending in the cake world – and she delivered. “I’m seeing lots of colour cakes with old fashioned vintage style piping and couples opting for low and wide cakes -like a slab style instead of your usual round cakes”, explains Chloe.
So get creative when thinking of your dream wedding cake and don’t forget the taste testing (the best part of wedding planning!).
One-of-a-kind Favours
Personalisation is the name of the game, as couples look to add a more sentimental touch to wedding favours. Consider crafting handwritten notes for each guest as an alternative (tears may be shed) or engrave your initials onto stemless wine glasses for the guests to keep. We’ve also seen customised cocktail napkins trending -from monograms and romantic quotes to small illustrations, it’s a unique idea that will transform a table necessity into a conversation starter and treasured keepsake.
