With over 25 years of construction experience, Ben Holland and the team at Coal Coast Pools bring precision, passion and creativity to custom pool builds across the Illawarra and beyond—turning everyday backyards into beautifully crafted spaces for relaxation and connection.

How did you establish your business?

After 25 years in the building industry commuting long distances working on large scale residential and commercial construction, we decided to move our expertise in construction & pool building closer to home. Building a small boutique team with exceptional skills has allowed us to take on unique & rewarding projects.

What does your business pride itself on?

We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, communication, safety and attention to detail. Building positive relationships with clients is an essential element to any building project. Whether a client has a clear idea of what they want, needs guidance or a concept developed, our team is here to help. We thrive on exceeding expectations.

Tell us about your biggest successes and challenges …

Being a licensed builder and pool builder enables us to apply our knowledge across multiple disciplines to find solutions for difficult sites, is really rewarding. When clients contact you 12 months after their pool is completed to let you know how much they are enjoying it and recommending us to their friends, you know you’re doing something right.

What do you enjoy most about running your business in the Illawarra?

Building a local team allows us to be competitive & flexible when reimagining spaces for our clients. Working close to home gives us more time with our families enjoying our beautiful coastline is overwhelmingly the best part of it.
